Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, burnout, or a major life transition, I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where together we explore your experiences with a sense of curiosity, compassion, and respect as you discover your own strengths, deepen your self-understanding, and move toward the life you want to create. I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative partnership, where you set the pace and we work together to explore the experiences, patterns, and possibilities that matter most to you.
I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Counseling at Northwestern University’s Family Institute, where I am training in clinical mental health counseling with an emphasis on psychodynamic, trauma-informed, multicultural, and evidence-based approaches. My approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone.
As a midlife career changer, I bring more than two decades of professional experience helping people navigate complex challenges, build meaningful relationships, and move through periods of uncertainty and change. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the resilience people carry, even during life’s most difficult moments, and allow me to bring a level of maturity, perspective, and a calm, grounded presence to the counseling relationship.
I have a particular passion for working with adults navigating life transitions, grief and loss, relationship challenges, race-based trauma, career burnout, purpose and meaning. I also enjoy supporting high-achieving professionals, racial minorities and women in midlife who may feel overwhelmed by competing responsibilities, changing relationships, caregiving, or the desire to reconnect with themselves during seasons of transition.
My work is grounded in a holistic view of wellness that recognizes the connection between emotional, physical, and psychological health. In addition to my counseling training, I am a certified Grief Coach, Holistic Health Coach, and Registered Yoga Teacher. When aligned with a client’s goals, I thoughtfully incorporate mindfulness, self-compassion, and whole-person wellness practices alongside evidence-based psychotherapy to support healing and lasting growth.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, stress, grief, relationship concerns, or simply sensing that life is asking something new of you, I strive to create a warm, affirming, and culturally responsive space where you can feel safe exploring your experiences and empowered to move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and purpose. My hope is that our work together feels supportive and grounded in genuine connection. It would be an honor to support you as you discover new insights, strengthen your resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
